Harbourside Artist Management is an international management company with a focus on multi-disciplined disabled creatives. It offers management and access support services to a wide range of clients and also works with the creative industries to advocate for more equity and opportunities for both disabled creators and aspiring industry proffessionals.
The venture was established in 2020 by Ben Price, who’d spent the last ten years in various roles in the music industry. After working independently and with various other music management companies, Ben created Harbourside to establish a new direction for the business, and one that would support his advocacy for disabled people working primarily in music.
Ben was originally the Head of A&R at Future Music before becoming a freelance Tour Manager and Promoter Rep. In just over 5 years he racked up more than 1000 shows internationally with clients such as Donny Osmond, Bananarama, Paul Young, Nik Kershaw, Jason Donovan, Rebecca Ferguson, Viktoria Modesta and Shayne Ward to name a few. He also established himself in non-music related touring, working as a Tour Manager for clients such as Gino D’Acampo, Paul Hollywood, Sir Bradley Wiggins and Chris Stark, as well as TV personalities from The Only Way is Essex.
As a result of the knowledge and know-how of being around artists all day every day, Ben started to manage artists alongside his touring business. He quickly joined forces with Grizzly Management where he took on clients such as Lucy Spraggan, The Dunwells, Grace Savage and more. He also started managing the unique talent of Viktoria Modesta independently. After three years he made the move to go solo and form Harbourside Artist Management, to maximise the potential of existing clients who are based as far afield as Los Angeles and Johannesburg, and to create a platform to advocate for disabled people working in the creative industries.
The Mission of Harbourside is to help bridge the apparent gap between the disability arts scene and popular culture. Through representation and advocacy we campaign for a fairer music industry with more opportunities and career paths for deserving individuals who've faced additional barriers in their career development. We work with the industry and ask them to contribute to our mission.
We believe in the artists we work with and offer the business and access support that allows creatives to stay in their creative zones.
Harbourside Artist Management is active in supporting disabled artists and Founder Ben Price is an advocate for disability inclusion and cultural integration in the music industry.
Ben is on the Board of Trustees at the charity Attitude is Everything, who campaign for greater accessibility in the music industry, for everyone from artists to audience members.
He also sits on the BPI’s Equity and Justice Advisory Group, an independent board of respected music industry professionals, who collectively advocate for the progression of the Equality, Diversity and Intersectional agenda across the sector and contribute to steering the BPI’s Equality, Diversity and Intersectional work for its members, award shows, events and The BRIT Trust. As a result, Ben is a member of the Voting Academy for the Brit Awards.
Ben is also a member of the Disability Affinity Group at PRS for Music.
